BIRD, Lewis, Private, Company H, 5th Tennessee Cavalry, was murdered in 1862 while making his way to the Federal lines; murdered by one Emory Kiker, who was found not guilty in Greeneville, TN, in 1868. (Memphis Daily Appeal, 18 Nov 1868)
