In Cannon Co. TN Chancery Court Records 1840-1880
Charles Ready versus Joseph Bragg and wife Elizabeth. On 29 Jan 1853, complainant recovered a judgment against the defendant. Joseph Bragg was the legal owner of the tract of land mentioned in the pleading. It appears to the Court that said Joseph Bragg did fraudulently transfer title to the land to his wife Elizabeth Marilla Bragg. He did this to delay and hinder his creditors and especially the said Charles Ready. 5 Oct 1858. (p.207-209)

There are four BRAGG households:
Dozier age 70-80 (no additional males in household)
Edward age 20-30
John age 40-50 (has male age 20-30 living with him)
Katherine age 50-60 (cemetery book says she was born 1-1-1797 and died 1880) has males age 5-10 and 10-15 living with her.

Elizabeth BRAGG will. Eight children, unnamed. Elizabeth Bragg, daughter of Thomas Bragg, deceased. Executor: S.E. BRAGG. Will signed 4 Nov. 1875, proved 6 Oct. 1884.

DeKalb Co. Chancery Court Records
Eren Linder versus William Braswell, John Linder, Richard P. Burks, and Joseph Bragg. The execution in favor of defendant Braswell has been levied upon the land of complainant, but said land was not subject to levy and sale for the debts of John Linder. 25 Sep 1855. (p.307)

On motion it is ordered by the court that John C. Martin be and is hereby constituted and appointed as guardian for; Peggy Bragg, Nancy Bragg, Sally Bragg, Dozier Bragg, Louiza Bragg, Moore Bragg, minor heirs of Thomas Bragg dec’d. Whereupon the said John C. Martin came into open court and together with his security Rigdon R. Jarratt entered into bond in the sum of two thousand dollars payable to John C. Martin chairman of the county court of Cannon County for the time being and his successors in office conditioned for the faithful performance of said guardianship.
